As a girl, Patricia thought that if she got married it would be in the most romantic place on earth: Bora Bora. Luckily, her groom, Alexander, didn’t need much convincing—he loved the idea of an all-in-one destination wedding and honeymoon at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.

The Scene: A canoe decorated with red and pink hibiscus ferried the couple across a turquoise lagoon to their island chapel. As they stepped ashore, they could hear Polynesian music played on seashells and drums. They held hands and walked down an aisle of palm leaves and tropical flower petals.

Magical Moment: Following their Polynesian wedding ceremony, the newlyweds dipped into the pristine aqua waters for a photo op with Bora Bora’s enchanting sea life.

The Bride and Groom: In planning their own happily-ever-after affair, Patricia and Alex fell madly in love with all things weddings. Since they didn’t think it practical to remarry each year, they did the next best thing: They launched the German wedding inspiration blog Wedding Mania, and published a book of the same name.

The Bride Wore: Patricia chose a Rose & Ruby chiffon dress with a floral pattern reminiscent of Bora Bora’s most exotic flowers. Her jewellery included a Tahitian pearl pendant necklace, shell bracelet and pearl earrings.
