When it came to choosing a destination for their 2010 wedding, Kisha and Jason picked the first place they had travelled to as a couple, the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. “It meant so much that this is where all of our adventures began,” says the bride.
Roses … Vintage Postcards … Beach Portraits
The Scene: Inspired by their shared love of travel, Kisha and Jason included elements in their wedding of Costa Rica and other places they have visited. They decided to use Ernest Hemingway, one of Kisha’s favourite authors, as inspiration. Special details included vintage postcards, suitcases and compasses.
Magical Moment: As the bride made her way down the aisle, she and her groom locked eyes. “Jason and I smiled at each other and I knew that everything was perfect,” remembers Kisha.
The Bride & Groom: After the wedding, the newlyweds embarked on a three-part honeymoon, including a stop at Four Seasons Resort Nevis.
The Bride Wore: Kisha chose an Amsale Art Deco–inspired silk organza gown embellished with a brooch at the waist.
A Personal Touch: The couple decided to create their own wedding vows, but instead of writing them out ahead of time, they spoke straight from the heart. “We were amazed that the words just came to both of us,” says the bride.
With their own unforgettable vacation memories as motivation, Kisha and Jason made sure their guests enjoyed the wedding—as well as the Resort.
