Heather Pundt envisioned a romantic garden setting for her spring wedding to Sam Alzayat, and found her dream location at Four Seasons Hotel Austin.

Magnificent . . . Classic . . . Lakeside

The scene: As soon as Heather and Sam saw the south lawn at Four Seasons Hotel Austin—with its magnificent oak trees and beautiful grounds on the banks of Lady Bird Lake—they knew it was the perfect spot for their ceremony. The couple also liked the elegant design of the Grand Ballroom and the convenience of having the ceremony and reception in one location.

That magic moment: The groom, who describes himself as old-fashioned, wasn’t sure whether he should see his bride before the ceremony. Sam was waiting under the oak trees for Heather’s arrival. When he saw her, the groom remembers, he placed his hand on his heart and “got a little choked up.”

The bride wore: Heather’s wedding gown was an ivory, strapless, floor-length dress with a sweeping train by Martina Liana. “Comfortable, elegant and timeless,” she says of her choice.

A personal touch: The bride asked her florist to wrap the handle of her bridal bouquet with a piece of lace from her mother’s wedding gown: “It was my ‘something old,’ but it also allowed me to make her dress a part of my ceremony.”

Heather and Sam wanted a spring outdoor wedding that was classic, elegant and romantic—and they had their dream day.
