After vacationing at a number of Four Seasons around the world, Lisa and David knew they would one day wed at one of the brand’s five-star properties. They decided to marry in their home town—San Francisco. “Modern luxury was our theme,” explains Lisa. “And Four Seasons San Francisco embodied it perfectly.”

The Scene: Lisa’s medical school colours inspired the colour palette: Vermont green and gold. The ceremony and reception were embellished with green orchids and candlelight. “We didn’t want anything too extravagant to overshadow the beautifully draped ballroom,” Lisa explains.
Magic Moment: When Lisa and David shared their first dance, family and friends surrounded the dance floor and cheered them on as the groom gracefully dipped his bride. “Although we had 270 guests, it felt so intimate,” shares the bride.
The Bride and Groom: Lisa and David met in their high school biology class and were friends for years before their love blossomed. They wanted the wedding to reflect who they were as individuals as well as who they were as a couple.
The Bride Wore: Lisa wore an elegant lace wedding dress by Anna Maier Ulla-Maija Couture. “It was definitely different from the classic wedding dress, but perfect for me,” she says. She accessorized it with a simple veil, a gold bracelet from her mother, crystal drop earrings from Nordstrom’s Bridal Collection (a gift from David’s parents) and Jimmy Choo shoes.
A Personal Touch: The couple personalised a number of wedding details, like serving foods that reflected their history together, customising San Francisco Giants jerseys for the bridal party, and passing out Krispy Kreme doughnuts—Lisa’s favourite dessert—at the end of the night.
On arrival at their villa at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora for their honeymoon, they were surprised to find a framed photo of themselves on the bedside table. It showed them walking up the aisle, having just taken their vows. “Small personal touches like that mean a great deal,” says David.
