It’s hard to find the perfect thank-you gift for your bridesmaids. You want to find something that’s personal and useful; something that will be not only appreciated, but cherished. Well, we found it at this year’s National Stationery Show. Inslee Haynes, the owner of Inslee By Design, is an illustrator who hand-draws and hand-paints portraits, which can then be printed on notecards.

To commission an illustration, send her a photograph of each bridesmaid and explain what outfit she should wear in the painting. You can put each one in a look that represents her personal style, be it jeans and a T-shirt or a party dress. Once the illustration is complete, Haynes will have it printed on a set of 100 flat cards with envelopes. She’ll even include the original 8-by-10-inch watercolour for them to frame.
