Very Baltimore

This is a small city comprised of almost-tribal enclaves. Hampden, about 3 miles north of Inner Harbor, is where beehive hairdo, blue-collar Old Baltimore meets aching-to-be-hip New Baltimore. “Hampden is fantastic and pure Baltimore,” says Ripken. “Cafe Hon and all the local businesses that line the streets are a lot of fun. The HonFest in June is a hoot.”
