Culinary Travel
Food and travel writer Andrew Collins is always searching for the finest and most interesting eats around. So what’s on the plate for 2013? According to Collins, ingredients such as Korea’s popular kimchi are making a big splash around the globe, as are single-item restaurants (whole establishments built around one type of food) and Peruvian cuisine. Consider our palates prepared! You’ll definitely want to tour the globe with fork in hand after reading his top picks.

I have to agree about the Korean trend – it’s really a new taste for me! I wanted to share an experience I had with a local family in Barcelona. We had dinner with them at home and it was just unforgettable – the food alone was worth it but I will definitely remember Ramon and his family. We booked the dinner through http://www.eatwith.com and were just upset that we didn’t find this great service earlier. I am looking forward to trying dinners with local familie as they expand to new countries. Definitely the next trend!
