Stylish Traveller: Warm-Weather Getaways Pack these essential pieces for your next island or beach retreat.
1/6 A chic swimsuit is crucial. I’ve chosen model-turned-swimsuit-designer Tori Praver’s bikini called Kenny: a pale yellow underwire top with optional halter strap, and an extremely flattering retro-style high-waisted bottom in a matching pale yellow and grey print. Praver’s designs focus on fit and form to the body. Her prints are inspired by her travels, referencing unique cultures and exotic scenery.

2/6 In anxious anticipation of spring, I bought these knot-strap Prada sandals, and I’m thrilled to be able to take them out of my closet and put them to use before the weather turns in New York. They’re a fierce neon yellow that will add a pop of colour to everything I wear.

3/6 This tie-dyed silk Raquel Allegra dress is great for day or night. Allegra gained a cult following after working at Barney’s in Beverly Hills, where customers coveted her deconstructed T-shirts. Raquel’s designs have evolved to include a variety of styles and rich textures. From her Spring 2013 collection, this dress does double duty: By day it’s an elegant swimsuit cover-up, but slip it on when the sun goes down and you’ll find it’s appropriate for an evening out.

4/6 I try my best to stay out of direct sunlight, but to combat signs of aging from exposure, I use Lifeline Skin Care products. Lifeline contains a combination of stem cell extracts with vitamins and antioxidants to stimulate new cell production. The regimen includes the Defensive Day Moisture Serum with SPF 15, Recovery Night Moisture Serum and new Eye Firming Complex. The daytime serum moisturises and reduces signs of aging while accelerating cellular proliferation. The night-time serum and eye-firming complex rejuvenate my skin while I sleep, increasing collagen production and making my skin less vulnerable to premature aging.

5/6 I won’t bring much makeup. Lifeline makes my skin look luminous, and Armour Beauty’s new lip-gloss colour for March, Divine, makes my lips shine. Model and singer Theo Kogan created Armour to fill her need for long-lasting natural lip gloss. Her formula moisturises with natural oils such as avocado, mango and olive, plus shea butter and vitamin E. Inspired by music and pop culture, Armour glosses are named for legendary icons—Divine, of course, is infamous for starring roles in John Waters films.

6/6 I’m forever in love with Dana Rebecca's jewellery designs. For this trip, I’ll be wearing my matching Sylvie Rose necklace and ring. The line has earned a strong celebrity clientele, and these pieces are perennial favourites. (I get lots of compliments when I wear mine.) Set with diamonds in 14-carat rose gold, these delicate pieces are simply chic and perfectly packable.

In the very near future, I’m trading the bitter cold of New York for somewhere hot where I can relax on the beach and soak up some sun—while slathered in a high SPF sunscreen, of course. As my long-awaited (and well-deserved) vacation approaches, I’m planning to pack light. All I need is a swimsuit and eye-catching sandals, a sexy casual dress, my Lifeline skin-care regimen, a little lip colour, and versatile jewellery. These are my essentials.
