Traditions, like the date, may vary, but the sentiment is the same. While many in Europe, for example, have already celebrated Mothering Sunday this year, in March, others in the Americas will soon celebrate Mother’s Day in May. Those of us who still need inspiration may discover some here.

For the Sentimental Mom
Bringing Up Brits: Meghan Fenn is an American expat who has lived in England for over 10 years. She is an author and mother to three kids who, despite having an American mother, seem to become more and more British every day. Her blog post about Mothering Sunday is all about how she, her husband and their three little ones celebrated together and concludes with a thoughtful quote from her own mother, “Being a mother is like having your heart walking around outside your body.”

For the Foodie Mom
Far, Far Away: Luxembourg-based blogger Fiona Lynne shares her tips for a beautiful Mother’s Day, or, as it’s called there, Mothering Sunday. This year in Luxembourg, Mother’s Day falls on Pretzel Sunday—so the day calls for double the celebration. She offers ideas for a day filled with soothing tea, vibrant flowers and, of course, fresh pretzels.

For the Travelling Mom
Glam Australia: Glam Australia has created a list of luxury gifts Mom may really want this year. Whether it’s a Louis Vuitton cosmetic bag or a Mulberry travel adapter, moms who like to travel in style would be thrilled with any of these.

For the Sweet Tooth Mom
The Magenta Cakes Blog: U.K.-based blogger and cupcake school owner Tracy Stonard offers delicious inspiration for the mom with a sweet tooth. (But the whole blog is food for thought.)

For the Creative Mom
Mother’s Day on Pinterest: Searching for a craft, gift, recipe or décor idea for Mother’s Day? Look no further than Pinterest, a helpful site considered to be a “virtual inspiration board.” Scroll through to see thousands of inspiring photos to get your Mother’s Day party started.

For the Traditional Mom
Porridge and Parsnips: U.K. blogger and mom of two, Lucy, wrote all about her lovely Mother’s Day. It was home-cooked food, handmade gifts and family time galore for Lucy. She received purple tulips, pretty silver earrings chosen by her daughter, a special mug and some sweet treats.

For the Family Mom
Reginecelinaaa: Celine, a Filipino blogger raised in Kuwait, writes about how she celebrated Mother’s Day this year—a new bag and flowers for Mom (one rose from each daughter) and a nice dinner out together as a family. All moms love taking a break from dinner duty once in a while, so we’re sure this Mother’s Day was a lovely celebration!
