Editor Obsession: Chopard’s Polar Bear Ring

For some time I’ve been obsessed with Chopard. I love the refined, whimsical style applied to each piece of jewellery in the range, but I’m particularly fond of the renderings of animals.

This week I’ve chosen to highlight a ring from Chopard’s Animal World Bears Collection. In 2010, the Geneva-based brand honoured its 150th anniversary by launching a collection of Haute Joaillerie called Animal World. The bear designs are an extension of this anniversary collection and are meant to evoke feelings of joy reminiscent of childhood. Consider my joyful childhood feelings evoked.

Set with three agate cabochons in 18-carat rose gold, the polar bear appears to be giving your finger a big bear hug. This ring, as well as the rest of the collection, is designed for everyday wear and to make each day exceptional, which is Chopard’s philosophy.
