Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver created a festive spirit using exotic (for a drink, at least) ingredients, such as balsamic vinegar and egg whites (left). Four Seasons Hotel Seattle made the Evergreen Mist (right) with aviation gin from Portland, homemade orange bitters and vanilla bean soda.

Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco created a tempting drink called A View to a Cocktail, which is a play on A View to a Kill, the James Bond movie filmed in San Francisco. It features non-traditional cocktail ingredients such as late harvest sauvignon blanc.

Some 36 Four Seasons hotels in North, Central and South America were challenged to create a cocktail using only locally sourced ingredients. Limited only by their imaginations and a 100-mile radius, the hotel mixologists put their own spin on a 100 Mile Cocktail. Cocktails from Austin, Los Angeles’ Beverly Wilshire, Denver, Palo Alto, San Francisco (a drink also made with vodka), Seattle, Vancouver and Whistler all used gin creatively, but in vastly different ways.
