In Germany they are keks, in Mexico, galletas, in Britain, biscuits—but much of the world knows them as cookies. And this fall, your favourite cookie recipe could score you a complimentary stay at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle!

ART Restaurant and Pastry Chef Ryan Witcher are searching for the ultimate holiday cookie recipe. Submit a recipe between November 1 and December 1 along with a 150-word description on what makes it a holiday cookie. For example, do they have seasonal ingredients? Are they historically or culturally significant?

On Sunday, December 6, 2009, three finalists will be chosen, and their cookies will be presented to a panel of judges made up of Holidays With HeART attendees and local cookie enthusiasts. The winning cookie will be served during the holidays in ART Restaurant and throughout Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, and the recipe author will receive dinner for two at ART and one-night stay in the Hotel.

Entries are encouraged from anywhere in the world; help make this competition truly global!

Send your recipe to ryan.witcher@fourseasons.com between November 1 and December 1. The winning recipe will be featured on this web site in early December.
