Stella McCartney’s collaboration with Adidas resulted in a 590-piece Team GB kit with pieces that fuse functionality with the designer’s edgy sensibilities and eye for detail. Using hi-tech, performance-enhancing materials, McCartney reinterpreted the iconic Union Jack to make it a focal point of the uniforms for a bold but contemporary twist on the British flag. “Ultimately, we wanted the athletes to feel like a team and be proud of the identity we created,” says McCartney of her designs for the home team.
