Updated August 9,2010—Four Seasons guests are invited to explore the mysteries of Bali with the Bali, Pray, Love package, inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert’s popular book, Eat, Pray, Love. This experience explores the culinary, spiritual and romantic treasures of this lush Indonesian island. Those who want to continue on the path toward their own balance can extend the journey in Florence. They will be connected with their own personal travel guru for one perfect day of customised concierge service.

Gilbert calls the Italian portion of her journey the “Pursuit of Pleasure,” and it’s hard to find a more apt description for this supremely lovely country, with its picture-book villages, warm people and heavenly food.

The Concierge at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze shares a taste of the possibilities that await travellers in this jewel of Tuscany:

A Day in Florence

Start your day on the terrace with warm, fresh croissants and cappuccino. You can see the city laid out before you, a lovely, ripe fruit ready to be picked.

Your pursuit of pleasure could begin with beautiful art and architecture at the San Marco museum, with its Fra Angelico frescoes, or at the Basilica di Santa Croce, purportedly founded by Saint Francis himself. Santa Maria Novella was Florence’s first great basilica and San Miniato al Monte offers stunning views of the city and Gregorian chants in the afternoon.

Visit the San Lorenzo Market to experience local culinary specialties and see the local deli put on an entertaining show.

Or venture into the artisan quarter of Oltrarno to lunch at stylish Trattoria 4 Leoni, which was founded in 1550. Then wander through the neighbourhood and watch local craftsmen at work restoring antique artefacts, paintings and furniture.

Finish your day of pleasure back at the Hotel, enjoying a private dinner on the fourth-floor Altana Terrace, with its 360-degree view of the city you’ve just explored.

The Journey Begins

The adventure starts in Bali, and the offer continues until December 20, 2011. For more information, visit FourSeasons.com.
