For golfers seeking to transform their game, there’s a new one-of-a-kind training centre in the south of France. The setting is the exclusive residential community of Terre Blanche, also home to Four Seasons Resort Provence.

Opened in 2004, Terre Blanche Golf Club includes two par-72 courses, both designed by Dave Thomas to make the most of the Provençal hillsides. The 6,005-metre (6,567-yard) Riou course is highly technical with steep slopes and winding fairways, while the 6,616-metre (7,235-yard) Château is the demanding and competitive showpiece.

Rivalling the Most Famous Golf Resorts

Now, with the arrival of the Albatros Golf Performance Center, Terre Blanche has raised the bar to offer Europe’s most advanced golf training—while offering a climate that’s much milder than at Gleneagles or St. Andrews in Scotland.

“I’ve travelled all over the world and seen the most beautiful golf courses and facilities,” says former top-ranked French golfer Raphaël Jacquelin, “but I’ve never come across facilities like this.”

In fact, Terre Blanche has been selected by the French Golf Federation as the winter training site for the leading amateur national team, Le Pôle France Elite.

Totally Integrated Training

The new facility’s most notable feature is the practice range, including 64 practice bays on two levels. The list of training features is lengthy. There are two outdoor putting greens, an indoor putting green with the SAM Puttlab analysis system, two chipping greens with bunkers, a golf simulator and a pro shop.

But what makes the Albatros exceptional is the expertise available to fine-tune your game.

Working on-site is osteopath Jean-Jacques Rivet, who can use his proprietary BioMecaSwing technology to analyse your swing and suggest exercises to deliver specific physical improvements.

Also incorporated is a David Leadbetter Golf Academy, with expert teachers using video and radar-tracking to analyse your results. The pros can work with you one-on-one to adjust your approach, then take you out on the two courses for first-hand coaching.

A Golf Getaway with Genuine Results

As Golf Director Jean-Marie Casella explains, “Terre Blanche is now the best place in Europe to perfect your game. We can work with people at all levels. Players can come here for just a few days, and they’ll go home much better golfers.”

Enhancing your golf experience is the all-suite comfort of Four Seasons Resort Provence. Chic and contemporary in style, the Resort offers award-winning dining and an expansive Spa focused on rare, highly effective skin care treatments.
